Full-time AVID Elective Teacher

Bilingual is a plus but not required. Must have a Bachelor’s Degree and appropriate licensure.  Endorsement in AVID is not required but willingness to get AVID Training is a requirement.  The training will take place for a few days in June. 

Staff report: Mon-Thurs 8:30-4:00 and every other Friday 8:30-4:00 for Professional Development and PLC’s.  Two Fridays a month are off.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate, team player who will help our school meet its academic goals by providing a structured AVID curriculum to students.  An AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) teacher prepares students for college and career success by teaching rigorous skills, fostering a college-going culture, and using WICOR methodologies (Writing, Inquiry, Collaboration, Organization, Reading). They mentor students, monitor academic progress, and implement specialized tutorials to boost success in advanced courses.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $60,000.00 and up for a Level 1 Teacher, $71,500 and up for a Level 2 Teacher, and $84,000 and up for Level 3 Teacher.
