The MASTERS Program (TMP) Early College Charter High School seeks a collaborative, mission-driven Head of School (HoS) to lead a vibrant learning community on the Santa Fe Community College campus. Position Overview The Head of School serves as the chief executive and instructional leader of TMP and is responsible for academic leadership, operational management, regulatory compliance, and school culture. Reporting directly to the Governing Council, the HoS oversees day-to-day operations and ensures the school fulfills its charter, mission, and obligations under New Mexico Public Education Department (PED) requirements.

Minimum Qualifications
? Valid New Mexico Administrative License (see www.ped.state.nm.us)
? Master’s degree (required)
? Minimum three years of administrative leadership experience
? At least five years of classroom teaching or student services experience
? Demonstrated success in collaborative leadership with faculty and staff
? Experience in curriculum development and instructional leadership
? Working knowledge of school finance, budgeting, and fiscal controls
? Ability to use data to inform instruction and decision-making
? Experience with Common Core State Standards and Next Generation Science Standards
? Strong written and oral communication skills ? Record of successful performance in prior roles
Preferred Qualifications
? Ten or more years of combined experience as a teacher and/or school administrator
? Strong familiarity with Special Education laws and inclusive practices
? Proven ability to build trust, professionalism, and shared ownership
? Experience fostering inquiry-based learning and professional learning communities
? Understanding of Santa Fe’s unique socioeconomic and demographic context
? Bilingual (English/Spanish)
Essential Job Functions The Head of School will:
? Provide visionary and collaborative leadership that advances TMP’s mission and culture
? Partner with staff to make sound instructional and operational decisions
? Model professional conduct that reflects positively on the school and profession
? Foster an inclusive, culturally responsive, and respectful school climate
? Lead instructional excellence, including:
o Hiring and supervising faculty
o Teacher evaluation and NMTEACH compliance
o Data-informed instructional improvement
o Oversight of professional learning communities, tutoring, and Friday Projects
? Collaborate in the development and stewardship of the school budget
? Ensure compliance with internal controls, procurement rules, and fiscal policies
? Maintain strong working relationships with Santa Fe Community College partners
? Establish effective communication systems with staff, students, families, and community stakeholders
? Oversee accurate student records, attendance reporting, and compliance documentation
? Work closely with the Director of Guidance on enrollment, scheduling, advising, and student support
? Ensure staff participation in IEP and 504 processes
? Support Advisory School Councils and ensure statutory compliance
? Submit timely and accurate state and federal reports
? Maintain a safe, orderly, and supportive learning environment
? Oversee audits, financial reporting, grants, and operational projects
? Serve as TMP’s representative with families, partners, and the broader community
? Communicate regularly with the Governing Council, providing clear data and insights to support governance and oversight ? Perform other related duties as assigned to meet the needs of the school
