Job Description:
The Albuquerque Sign Language Academy (ASLA) is in search of a passionate Full-Time, Certified Middle School Teacher who is dedicated to empowering diverse learners. This teacher will work in a highly inclusive setting with low student/teacher ratios where students work collaboratively with their peers. Additionally, this position requires that the teacher will work closely and collaboratively with various service providers. All applicants must embrace an ASL rich, hands-on approach to learning that encourages deaf and hearing students to learn together and support one another. Teachers can expect to be supported by a strong community that invests in the potential of its learners.

As one of the most innovative educational programs in the nation, the Albuquerque Sign Language Academy is an award winning, nationally recognized, ASL/English dual language school that provides deaf, hard of hearing, and hearing students and families access to a 21st century education that incorporates American Sign Language (ASL) and English, hearing and deaf, in an inclusive environment. All ASLA students—whether hearing, deaf, or in need of ASL to communicate—learn in ways that better connect them to their family and their community. Preferred Qualifications:
- Dynamic and Innovative teaching philosophy that promotes student engagement;
- Dual licensed in General and Special Education;
