Special Education Teacher

 

The ASK Academy (Attitudes, Skills, and Knowledge), a STEM 6 th -12th grade charter school in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, is hiring a Special Education Teacher.

 

Requirements include: NM teaching license with endorsement in special education and familiarity with ASK’s STEM focus and project-based learning approach.

 

The position would include pushing into classrooms to help with small group and individual instruction, handling a caseload at the middle school and high school level, and writing and running IEPs. Ideal candidates would be those who seek to make connections with students and believe that all students who desire to learn can.

 

The position is available for the 2025-2026 school year. This is a benefits eligible position. Salary Schedule can be found on our website.  Applicants may be eligible for a caseload management stipend of up to $5,000 per full academic year. Staff members at The ASK Academy have preference in the school’s student enrollment lottery.
