The Role: Impact & Responsibilities
South Valley Academy seeks a Middle School Math Teacher to lead 4–5 sections of core middle school mathematics (grades 6–8). You will utilize data-informed strategies, Amplify Desmos, and ALEKS to provide high-quality instruction. Responsibilities include using NWEA data to identify learning gaps and collaborating closely with the MS Math team and Math Block Coordinator to support student success. You will maintain a focus on conceptual understanding, scaffolding, literacy integration, and targeted ELL support.
Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution.

Licensure: Valid New Mexico teaching license with Mathematics endorsement.

Experience: Background in middle school math (grades 6-8) and familiarity with intervention strategies for addressing unfinished learning.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range: $59,641.00 – $88,440.00 (L1-L3 salary schedule). We pay 80% of your health insurance premiums and provide retirement through the NMERB.
