Middle School Special Education and Gifted Case Manager
The ASK Academy (Attitudes, Skills, and Knowledge), a 6th-12th-grade charter school in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, is a STEM innovation school with a project-based approach to teaching and learning and has been noted as among the top 3% of schools in the nation by the U.S. News and World Report. Our Middle school was ranked #2 in the State. The scholars follow one of two career pathways - Biomedical Sciences or Engineering and Design. The ASK Academy has entered its second decade and is searching for a Special Education and Gifted Teacher.
Requirements include: NM teaching license with endorsement in special education and gifted, along with familiarity with ASK’s STEM focus and project-based learning approach.
Responsibilities include case management for a group of scholars in grades 6th-8th with IEPs, including supporting them in small group, push-in, and individual instruction, as well as IEP preparation.
Ideal candidates seek to make connections with scholars, families, and colleagues to promote scholar success.
The position is available for the 2026-2027 school year. This is a benefits-eligible position. Staff members at The ASK Academy have preference in the school’s student enrollment lottery.
