2026-2027 High School Core Teacher (ELA, Math, or Science) – N4th Community Campus
Gordon Bernell Charter School is seeking passionate and flexible educators to join our high school team at our North 4th campus. We are hiring for core content areas including English Language Arts, Math, and Science.
Our program serves students ages 16–21 in a credit recovery model grounded in individualized learning, strong advisory relationships, and re-engagement.
Position Overview Teachers at Gordon Bernell work in a non-traditional, student-centered environment where flexibility, relationship-building, and adaptability are essential. Instruction includes a mix of small group, one-on-one, and structured direct instruction.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver instruction aligned to course standards in assigned content area

Support students through individualized learning plans (ILPs)

Track student progress toward credit completion and graduation

Implement directed learning experiences and small group instruction

Build strong relationships and support student re-engagement

Required Qualifications

New Mexico PED Secondary Teaching License (or ability to obtain)

Appropriate content endorsement: ELA, Math, or Science (or ability to obtain)
Preferred Qualifications

Experience with credit recovery or alternative education

Special Education, TESOL, or bilingual (Spanish) experience
